A property investor client recently acquired a site in Nottingham with planning permission for conversion to multiple student accommodation. The site, close Nottingham Trent University, required that the existing building be both converted and extended.
We undertook a topographical survey of the site primarily to enable the architect to design the extension in relation to site boundaries and telecoms plant that was already present on site and leased to a third party. The 2D & 3D cad files we supplied, mapped all the topographic features on the site including lines, levels and contours.
