We were out on site near Leicester recently, carrying out a boundary survey. Our commercial client needed an accurate measured survey showing the boundary and an easement which was marked on the original conveyance plan.
There were concerns that the easement had been encroached upon by a neighbouring landowner. After unsuccessfully voicing their concerns to the adjacent landowner, they obtained legal counsel. Part of their counsel included finding a boundary surveyor near Leicester to help them prepare a drawing - to show the extent of the suspected encroachment with respect to the boundaries and easement.
We liaised with the barrister on behalf of our client to ensure an adequate boundary survey specification was achieved. After conducting desktop research, a land surveyor from Topographical went to site and carried out an accurate measured boundary survey of all the relevant features to produce a drawing according to the specification.
The drawing was provided to our client and their barrister, accompanied with a short report, historic conveyance documents and up to date site photographs. This provided a valuable body of evidence to be used in negotiations and if necessary, in court.
Based in Nottingham, we undertake boundary survey work nationally with our main client base in the East Midlands including Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.
