Introduction
If you are on this page, you have likely been directed here by one of our surveyors working on-site. You may have seen them operating in your area and are curious about their work. This page provides information about our role, responsibilities, and the limits of what we can discuss.
Why have I been sent to this web page?
Our priority is to complete our work safely, efficiently, and professionally while respecting those we encounter. As a business, we are bound by data protection laws and contractual obligations, meaning we cannot disclose details about our clients or the purpose of their surveys.
Additionally, our surveyors work in environments requiring concentration and awareness of potential hazards. Frequent interruptions can affect both their efficiency and safety. This page aims to address common queries so they can remain focused on their tasks.
Who are you and what do you do?
We are a private Chartered Land Surveying company, regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Our clients hire us to collect survey and mapping data of the natural and constructed environment.
We use professional surveying equipment such as GPS, laser instruments, radar, sonar, drones, and survey boats—all within legal and regulatory frameworks.
We access public land and private property owned by our clients or where we have received consent. Our surveyors carry public liability insurance and adhere to safety regulations.
What are you planning on doing?
We only collect measurement data. We have no involvement in how our clients use this information.
How do I get in touch?
If you have any safety concerns regarding our staff or public safety, please call 0800 644 0014 or email office@topographical.co.uk. We want to hear from you as soon as possible so that we can investigate this promptly.
If your query relates to the purpose of the survey or client details, we cannot provide additional information.
Thank you
We appreciate your interest and hope this page clarifies our position. Our goal is to operate safely, efficiently, and within the law, and we appreciate your understanding. Should you ever require a measurement surveyor, we would be happy to extend the same professionalism and courtesy.
